For security reasons, I have set things up on the network so everything is done through SSL (HTTPS).
ex: https://yourshowcase.webterritory.net/wp-admin/
However if your showcase has it’s own domain you will have to continue logging in through your own unsecured (HTTP) domain. The reason for this is because custom domains applied to a showcase do not and can not have a SSL certificate because (the simple answer is) the network already has one.
Also switching between two different URLs https://yourshowcase.webterritory.net/wp-admin/ and http://yourcutomdomain.tld/ causes problems with the WordPress Dashboard.
If you do want SSL for your showcase the only workaround is we can forward your domain to your secured showcase address.
ex: http://yourcutomdomain.tld/ would redirect to https://yourshowcase.webterritory.net/
or you would have to upgrade to a WordPress web hosting package to make your own domain SSL.
